The Single Slip Soluble Bridge Plug is a temporary zonal isolation tool specifically developed for hydraulic fracturing operations. Unlike traditional bridge plugs that require costly and time-consuming milling or fishing after fracturing, our single-slip soluble design eliminates post-operation interventions by completely dissolving in downhole fluid environments. 1.Single-Slip Anchoring Design : Adopts a special high-strength composite single slip with button tooth technology, ensuring stable anchoring in the casing wall. The slip automatically fragments after the stable period, completely eliminating the technical problem of slip residue and stuck pipe, and improving the safety of downhole operations.

2.Full Dissolution, No Residue : Made of advanced degradable metal (high-strength soluble magnesium alloy) and polymer dissolvable materials, the plug achieves complete degradation without any insoluble residues. After dissolution, a full-bore inner diameter is provided for subsequent stimulation operations, eliminating the need for coiled tubing milling and reducing associated costs.

Working Principle

 

The Single Slip Soluble Bridge Plug is connected to the setting tool via an adapter and sent to the predetermined downhole position by cable or tubing. Once in place, the setting tool is activated (by ignition or ground fluid pumping), causing relative displacement between the push tube and the central pull rod. This displacement compresses and expands the single slip and sealing system: the slip expands to anchor firmly to the casing wall, while the sealing element expands to achieve reliable zonal isolation.

After the fracturing operation is completed, the plug gradually dissolves under the combined action of downhole temperature, pressure, and wellbore fluid (such as chloride solution). The dissolvable materials undergo chemical reactions (hydrolysis or oxidation) to break down into small particles, which are then discharged with the flowback fluid-leaving a clean, full-bore wellbore for subsequent production operations. In special cases where milling is required, the plug has excellent drillability and can be quickly removed with ordinary high-efficiency milling tools.
