Oceaneering's Brazilian unit, Marine Production Systems (MPS), has been awarded several subsea robotics contracts with Petrobras. The contracts will earn Oceaneering around $180 million.

Oceaneering will provide work class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services, tool packages, and survey services on a fleet of anchor handling and ROV support vessels running on Petrobras projects off the Brazilian coast.

The services under the contracts include ROV support for inspection, maintenance, and repair and decommissioning services and surface and subsea locate services, FPSO hook-up, mooring inspections, and pile driving. The four-year contracts have extension options. The contracts are to begin on a number of different dates in the third and fourth quarters of 2025 and first quarter of 2026.

We are excited to further establish our presence in Brazil as a global leader in ROV services," stated Martin McDonald, Senior Vice President of Subsea Robotics. "These contracts provide us with visibility into our backlog for the next few years consistent with our vision of strong offshore energy markets.". It is this visibility that allows us to plan and deploy resources strategically, with safe, consistent and reliable operation." We are delighted to be able to continue to support Petrobras' offshore operations and investment in the development of Brazil's oil industry.

Oceaneering has been operating in Brazil on a regular basis for almost three decades. Oceaneering possesses several facilities, including a ROV, Survey, Subsea Intervention Tooling, and Engineered Solutions hub and an Onshore Remote Operations Center at Macaé, and an umbilical manufacturing facility at Niterói, via MPS.
