Nigeria's Port Harcourt Refinery Revamp Faces Delays

Leave a message

The rehabilitation of Nigeria's Port Harcourt Refinery, initially slated for completion by December 2022 and later by the first quarter of 2023, has encountered delays. Launched in 2021, the project aims to restore the refinery's capacity to 210,000 barrels per day.

The three-phase project focuses on revamping the 60,000 barrels per day old refinery in its initial phase. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has partnered with Tecnimont SPA for the refinery's rehabilitation and upgrade.

Upon completion, anticipated by 2025, the refinery will produce a range of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and aviation fuel.
