Product Introduction

 

The Balanced Throttle Shut-Off Valve is a specialized industrial valve that combines the dual functions of flow throttling and medium shut-off. Its unique balanced plug design eliminates the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet sides of the valve core, significantly reducing the operating torque and making opening and closing operations more labor-saving. Equipped with a high-performance sealing structure, it achieves bubble-tight shut-off to prevent medium leakage, while the contoured trim ensures precise flow regulation. Whether used as a bypass valve in transmission pressure reducing stations or a control valve in high-pressure pipeline systems, this valve provides stable and efficient operation.

 

Product Features

 

1.Pressure Self-Balancing Design : The valve plug is equipped with pressure balance holes, which balance the pressure on the upper and lower cavities of the valve plug, reducing the axial thrust on the valve stem. This design minimizes the operating torque (only about 4 N•m / 2.95 ft-lbs for manual operation) and ensures flexible and labor-saving opening and closing, even under high-pressure conditions (up to 100 bar).

2.Dual Sealing Assurance : Adopts a dual sealing structure of metal-to-metal hard seal and nitrile (NBR) or PTFE soft seal. The hard seal serves as the first line of defense against wear and corrosion, while the soft seal ensures tight shut-off with zero leakage. The seal disc and orifice are easy to replace, reducing maintenance costs.

3.Precise Throttle Regulation : The valve plug features a conical or parabolic contour, and the opening control is progressive at the start and then linear. One full turn of the handwheel corresponds to a 2mm / 0.08in travel, allowing precise adjustment of flow and pressure. A 1/8 turn after the valve plug contacts the orifice is sufficient to ensure tight shut-off.

4.Durable & Corrosion-Resistant : Key components (valve body, valve plug, valve stem) are made of high-quality carbon steel or stainless steel, with surfacing hard alloy on the sealing surface. This enhances wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and erosion resistance, adapting to various media such as water, oil, and natural gas.

5.Easy Installation & Maintenance : Suitable for both horizontal and vertical pipeline installation. The valve structure is compact, and the internal components are easy to disassemble and replace. The manual handwheel is marked with opening and closing direction signs, making operation intuitive and simple.

6.International Certification & Compliance : Complies with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/eu (Category IV) and ISO 9001 standards. It also meets GB and API design and test standards, ensuring compatibility with global industrial systems.
