Valmet signed a nationwide agreement with Petrobras (Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.) for the provision of spare parts of Neles™ valves, actuators, and positioners for all Petrobras operational units for oil and natural gas exploration, production, refining, commercialization, and power generation.
The first order is included in Valmet's second quarter 2025 orders received. Potential resulting orders will be booked during the term of the agreement. The values of the orders will not be published.
The one-year agreement, with the possibility of automatic extension for five years, represents a significant move in the partnership between the two companies. The project offers strategic benefits to Petrobras such as guaranteed availability of valve equipment, better cost predictability, simplified processes, reduced bureaucracy, and qualified technical support with a defined level of quality.
"This agreement demonstrates Petrobras's faith in Valmet's capabilities to supply dependable, high-quality valve solutions and strengthens our foothold in the oil and gas market in the region," Marco Souza, Valmet's Business Manager for Flow Control in refining and chemical business in Latin America, said.
