TotalEnergies and Emerson's Aspen Technology business have formed a strategic partnership under which they will use cutting-edge digital technologies to analyze TotalEnergies' plant data in real-time continuously at its industrial plants.
It is to capitalize on that information to improve decision-making, especially with AI, and maximize TotalEnergies operation efficiency, energy consumption, and environmental performance of our sites around the world in a way to continue delivering increasingly secure and sustainable energy.
TotalEnergies will deploy Emerson's AspenTech Inmation at its industrial sites worldwide under the pact. Industrial data fabric will collect and store real-time millions of data points of TotalEnergies' plants and provide safe and harmonized access to data within the organization.
The digital platform, supported by Emerson's edge process control technologies, will then enable TotalEnergies to deploy AI applications.
Implementation will be complete within two years and will finally enable TotalEnergies to extract even greater value from its data by:
Enhancing anomaly detection and performance degradation;
Optimizing energy consumption;
Enhancing operational security;
Accelerating AI embedding into industry processes.
"Digital technology is a key enabler of our transformation to a more efficient and sustainable energy future."
"We are delighted to see that our collaboration with Emerson continues to yield such concrete results," TotalEnergies OneTech President Namita Shah said. "Our collaboration with Emerson is exemplary of how emerging technologies such as Inmation allow us to drive operations, reduce emissions, and build lasting value. This collaboration exemplifies our determination to leverage data and digital technology to work as the benchmark of industrial excellence in our assets."
"Emerson's Aspen Technology business has worked with TotalEnergies for almost 30 years, and we're excited to continue our collaboration by supporting their operational and sustainability objectives with our digital technologies," added Vincent Servello, President of Emerson's Aspen Technology business. "The powerful combination of AI and our industrial data fabric solution will serve to accelerate TotalEnergies' mission."
