Product Introduction
Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is obtained by heating green petroleum Coke at temperature as high as 1400°C, With high electrically conductive, low specific Electrical Resistance, and having fixed Carbon of approximately 99%, widely used in the aluminum anode, graphite electrode , and other carbon consuming industries.
Product Description
Production
CPC is produced by heating raw coke in a rotary kiln or vertical shaft kiln to temperatures between 550–1,150 °C. The high temperatures remove moisture and volatile matter, and rearrange the coke's crystal structure.
Appearance
CPC has a black or dark gray honeycomb structure.
Grades
CPC is available in high sulfur and low sulfur grades. High sulfur CPC has sulfur levels greater than 3.5%, while low sulfur CPC has sulfur content between 0.5–3.5%. Low sulfur CPC is preferred for applications that require reduced emissions.
Uses
CPC is used in a variety of applications, including,
Anodes : A major component in the production of anodes for aluminum, steel, and titanium smelting
Recarburizer : Used as a carbon additive in steel and aluminum plants
Graphite products : Used to produce graphite electrodes, graphite blocks, and brake pads
Refractory, insulation, and filler : Used in these applications
We take pride in offering the highest quality Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) to our esteemed customers, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability in every product.
