Subsea7 has won a major contract from Equinor for the development project for Fram Sør, offshore Norway, the company revealed on Thursday.
The work scope of the project comprises subsea structure and flowline engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) covering 53 km of production, gas lift, and water injection lines. The installation of the umbilical system is also covered. It follows the 9 January 2025 award of a front-end engineering (FEED) and design contract that finalized the technical definition of the development.
Engineering and project management will commence immediately in Subsea7 offices in Norway and UK. Offshore installation activities will be executed in 2026, 2027 and 2028.
Fram Sør will be located 10-30 km north of the Troll C platform operated by Equinor, 70 km north-west of Bergen. Fram Sør will be connected to the existing Fram and Troll C infrastructure.

Subsea7 classifies a big contract as between $300 million and $500 million.
